Nico frantically rubbed his lips and tried to get the image of him and Percy kissing out of his head. It was never meant to be like that. He must’ve gotten over excited and leaned forward. He couldn’t help it. Percy looked so desperate to find that hope that had helped him fight during the second Titan war and Giant war. But Annabeth was his hope. So now that Annabeth is gone, Percy is left with nothing to hope for. Nico hopes to change that. Nico had came up with a plan that will being Percys’ smile and hope back. Nico just wants to help that one person that has been trying to look out for him, Percy.
Nico scrambled around the underworld trying to find the River Styx. Once he located the acid river, he dug a hole into the dark sharp charcoal sand. It pierced his skin and stung as he continue to dig deeper and deeper, until it was deep enough to his satisfaction. Blood drip from his scratched up skin and he placed it over the hole he made. Nico closed his eyes and let his blood drip into the darks sand and hummed a summoning. A bright light shined and Nico had to look away even with his eyes closed. When the light had died down, Nico cautiously opened his eyes and peered at the ghostly form of Annabeth. She looked confused at first but then her eyes landed on Nico.
“Nico?” Annabeth asked. Nico couldn’t help but felt rage.
“HOW CAN YOU EVEN TAKE YOUR OWN LIFE WHEN YOU KNEW PERCY WAS GOING TO SUFFER!?” Nico yelled at Annabeth. Annabeth grimace at the volume of Nico’s voice as it echoed all around them.
“What do you mean?” Annabeth asked looking concerned.
“DON’T ACT LIKE YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING! YOU SELFISHLY TOOK YOUR LIFE BECAUSE PERCY COULDN’T GIVE YOU THE HAPPINESS YOU WANTED,” Nico continue to rant at Annabeth.
“NICO! I don’t know what your talking about, alright! And why did you come to my dorm anyway?” Nico rage subsided. Nico dropped his voice and sadness at filled him.
“You still think you're at your dorm?” Nico asked.
“Of course! I wasn’t suppose to come to camp until next week. Why is it so dark around here? They normally leave the hall lights on,” Annabeth tried peering around the place.
“Annabeth, have you gone crazy since you died?” Nico questioned.
“I never died! I was at my dorm studying and then you showed up,” Annabeth pestered on.
“Annabeth, you’re a ghost,” Nico pointed at her. Annabeth looked down and a sob broke out. She examined her hand and tried reaching out for Nico but only went through.
“How? I was just at my dorm studying and then I got sleepy...” Annabeth started to explain but then stopped completely.
“Annabeth. You were found dead at your dorm. The police ruled it suicide,” Nico eased the information slowly. Annabeth had ghostly tears pouring down her face and slowly sat down at Nico’s feet, pulling her knees to her chest.
“What about Percy? How is he?” Annabeth tried but couldn’t.
“They questioned him, but released him from connection to your death,” Nico sat down next to Annabeth.
“I’m so sorry Percy,” Annabeth whispered into her arms.
“What exactly happened?” Nico asked. Annabeth looked up at Nico.
“I was studying for my last test and I was getting sleepy, but it didn’t make sense since it was only 3 in the afternoon. I was suppose to go have a late lunch with my roommates but I guess something told me not too.” Annabeth told Nico.
“Something made you sleepy and told you to not hang out with your friends?” Nico asked wearily.
“You're making me sound insane!” Annabeth shrieked.
“No, No, continue on,” Nico raise his hands up, surrendering.
“But technically yes, something was luring me into sleep and then I felt something soft around my neck and I guess I never woke up,” Annabeth looked across the river desperately.
“So you didn’t kill yourself voluntarily?” Nico asked. Annabeth looked at him like she couldn’t believe he just asked that.
“How could you say that?! I loved everyone, even you Nico. I have a lot to live up too,” She tried bumping shoulders with him, but all he got was a tingling sensation. Her brow furrowed and then she frowned. Nico got into deep thinking.
“It doesn’t make any sense! You said you didn’t kill yourself, but something happened when you were asleep,” Nico jumped up. Then it dawned on him.
“You were in a trance...” Nico mumbled. Annabeth stood up.
                “What?” Annabeth asked.
“It's not possible, she went back to slumber. She couldn’t. Not unless it was her last revenge on...” Nico looked up wide eyed.
“Revenge on Percy. Gaea took your life in revenge towards Percy,” Nico turned toward Annabeth.
“She couldn’t. She has no power left, unless it was her final strength...” Annabeth came to the conclusion. She staggered a bit but couldn’t believe it. Then she started flickering.
“Annabeth!” Nico yelled out. She saw her self flickering and Nico had to stop it. His hand was covered in dried up blood and he had to give more blood. He couldn’t lose her. This was the only time he could keep her here and his plan needed to work.
“Hold on Annabeth!” Nico unsheathe his sword and took off his jacket. He slashed his forearm and let the blood drip at the foot of Annabeth’s ghost.
“Nico!” Annabeth reached out but Nico raised his sword which stopped her.
“I’m fine. I don’t know how much longer I can keep you here. Only my blood can help,” Nico warned her. Nico had other plans. He just wished Annabeth took the bait. He noticed Annabeth ghostly sneakers were solidifying and hope engulfed him. He just had to keep her distracted.
“Nico, this isn’t safe. You can die from bleeding out. You need to go back to camp,” Annabeth pleaded. Nico shrug her off.
“Annabeth, I’m in my fathers domain. I’ll live,” Nico pointed out sarcastically.  He continue to let his arm drip his blood at foot of Annabeth’s ghost. He saw that most of her leg is starting to solidify and Nico mind was starting to be drained and he couldn’t concentrate.
“Nico, I don’t know about this,” Annabeth said wearily.
“Just...lets figure this out before you fade away. I want to be able to return back to camp with some closure. Everyone has been depressed all week,” Nico said sternly, trying to distract her.
“So Gaea was able to get into your mind, while she was slumbering and made you hang yourself while she had you in a trance,” Nico concluded it all.
“I can't believe I fell for it! Ugh! I’m so stupid!” Annabeth palming her forehead. Annabeth suddenly stopped and peered down at her foot. It was solid. She started wiggling her toes in her shoes and she can see the tip of her shoe move. She leaned forward and touched it and her hands didn’t go through her leg. Her hands landed right on top of her knee and she could feel it. She jumped up looking all around her. She was slowly solidifying.
“But, how?” Annabeth wondered. Nico staggered a bit and his mind was getting light headed. Nico arm continue to bleed tremendously and Annabeth reach for his arm. She lightly grabbed it and squeezed to make sure he was real. She twisted his forearm to show the slash he made with his sword. It was gushing out blood and it was deep, far deep of any wound she has ever seen before.
"Why Nico? Why?" Annabeth asked. Nico didn't respond, he did better than that. He simply collapsed onto the ground. Annabeth caught him between his arms and waist and gently lower him down onto the sand. She desperately tried to mend his arm but she was shaking so bad, for once she didn't know what to do. She didn't have any ambrosia or nectar to heal him. She ripped the hem of her camp shirt sleeve and tied it around his forearm to stop the bleeding.
"Nico, hang in there! Please!" She looked around for help.
"Don't," Nico coughed into the air.
"Are you insane?! I don't know what you did to make be alive again but your not leaving me. After gaining back my life, I'm not letting you lose yours!" Annabeth promised. Nico's breathing started to slow down and now she was getting desperate for any miracle to happen.
“HELP! Someone! Please help!” She yelled out all around her.
“ANNABETH!” She looked to the side of the river bank and she saw her very own Seaweed Brain, with his green eyes and messy hair.
               “Percy?”
Here it is! Chapter three! I feel like this isn't the best chapter, especially towards the ending. I didn't really know how to effectively incorporate what I had envisioned into this chapter. If your getting confused I hope to be able to make it more understanding in the next chapter. I also wanted to apologize if the change of character p.o.v frequently changing through out the whole chapter. It probably didn't make any sense. So very berry sorry!

*Sorry to everyone that has read this before the recent changes. Someone pointed out something that I had missed and it was very important that I get it fixed so the story would run more smoothly. So if you have read this chapter before I edit it. I am very sorry for the confusion. Please Enjoy!*

Hope you enjoy!

the ending sounds like annabeth is happy that nico is kind of dying.

“Nico, you're doing this. You’re bring me back. Let me help you,” Annabeth continue to push on. Nico nodded but collapsed onto the ground. Annabeth kneeled beside him and tried to mend his arm but she wasn’t solidifying fast enough. She looked around for help.
